Another encounter, this time is a good one

Guess who I met today? Jasilan aka J ("I hope I spelt his name correctly"). He is my senior from secondary school and was the vice-head prefect back then. Like me. But a lot more smarter. He is studying medicine in NUS now.
At the age of 8 he dreamed to be a doctor to save peoples' lives. That's what he said in the interview when he was asked why did he want to be a doctor.
Like me, he misses the moments he had with all his friends in secondary school and told me how he hated that school when he was in sec 1 and shared many other interesting events that happened during those days. He is so proud of his red tie (prefect tie) and school uniform and said the design that I had was ugly. I have to totally agree. Now it has gotten even "BETTER".
Both of us shared our experiences in poly and uni and we were telling one another how difficult it is to adapt to a new environment that embeds intense competition and drives in the feeling of being an outcast from a group. It just feels so depressing and hurtful...
Our conversation also went on to award for the best method of leaving earth and J says that the best way to have a quick exit is to get yourselves exploded. The result is instance and the process is painless. But I say the best way is to inject some kind of medicine into your body where you feel no pain and exit the world silently ("I think there's a word for it... What is it?"). At least you still have the body there.
All the cracking of jokes had to come to an end after a 3 hour long conversation.
It is indeed wonderful to see an old friend and enjoyable to chat with him. Take care and wishing you a smooth journey ahead.
