Look into the mirror and what do you see?
14 March 2008 - 09:02
Today is "Look into the mirror and what do you see" post. Don't understand? Simply means reflection post.
Attachment hasn't been that great for the past 3 weeks. Let's say it feels more like schooling rather than working for me. I come to school, do competition papers, go through solutions and the whole routine repeats again for the next day. Everyday passes without gaining much working experiences. Maybe life is easier for me this way, but it beats the purpose of this progarmme.
"Do I regret?" you asked.
"What more can I say?"
Alright, work aside. Social life.
My social network has since stopped growing due to attachment. The only friends I have been working closely with are those who are involved in the "youthinkofawordtodescribe" competition. Though we may have come closer in understanding one another weaknesses and strengths, I have missed the opportunity to be connected with the working world. In other words, I am kept within my comfort zone of friends and have yet to experience the world of cruelty which was my drive to look forward to my attachment.
"When all things fall, what am I to do?"
However, on the brighter note, I am able to spend more time with my family during this vacation. My home, my shelter, barricades all my troubles, disappointments, frustration, you name it that stacks up inside me day by day. No matter where or how I am, my mum's alluring dishes will be my rope that guides me back home when the sky turns dark. Seeing how happy every member in the family is jolts me to press on and not give up till the very end.
"All they ever wish for is to give my best. And I will."
Staying connected.
I am glad that I met up with some friends this vacation. The dramatic people from sec school and crazy going nerdy SB club members who have been working so hard for the past 2 days. The YEAR ONES are indeed incredible people who work non stop yet immersed so much energy from God knows where and continue to slog their guts out like crazy. Crazy yet remarkable. I heard that both events were a success and wish you guys smooth sailing for FOC and may the heaven bless you with good weather.
"Can we come back during FOC buffet or dinner night?"
Right ahead.
5 more weeks to the end of this "youthinkofawordtodescribe" life. Will be catching the play "Pillow man" on 3rd April with dramatically aesthetically people. Really looking forward to that. And school will be starting in a month time? So to those who have yet to spend this very short vacation, it is time you find one day to something meaningful, something out of the norm. Of course, if you are underage to do certain things, refrain from attempting them.
"I heard there will be no E-Learning week for next year. Is this good or bad?"
